Medico-legal Minder

This blog is the work of Giles Eyre.  Giles is a barrister, now retired, who has for many years practised in the field of personal injury, disease and clinical negligence claims in the courts of England & Wales.  That work brought him into frequent contact with clinicians and experts writing reports to support the litigation, and in particular medical and care experts.  His frustration with the quality and usefulness of those reports led to his involvement in educating and training experts, and in particular medical experts, in the requirements of civil litigation in England & Wales.

Giles’ concern as to the lack of knowledge of clinicians about the law and its impact on their practices resulted in his most recent publication Clinical Practice and the Law – a legal primer for clinicians. which is intended to better equip clinicians in their daily work and well as answering many questions on everyday legal issues which are likely to arise.
