This blog is the work of Giles Eyre. Giles is a barrister who has for many years practised in the field of personal injury, disease and clinical negligence claims in the courts of England & Wales. That work brought him into frequent contact with experts writing reports to support the litigation, and in particular medical and care experts. His frustration with the quality and usefulness of those reports led to his involvement in educating and training experts, and in particular medical experts, in the requirements of civil litigation in England & Wales.
Giles is the co-author of Writing Medico-Legal Reports in Civil Claims – an essential guide (www.prosols.uk.com) which is now in its Second Edition (September 2015). He regularly presents seminars in his own right and with Professional Solutions Learning and Development for medical practitioners and other expert witnesses on legal principles, effective report writing and giving evidence.
